Youth for Peace in the Mediterranean Sea

Youth for Peace in the Mediterranean Sea (YXP) is an Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building in the Field of Youth project dedicated to promoting peace, inclusion, and peaceful coexistence across the Mediterranean region.

Bringing together participants and youth professionals from eight countries, the project seeks to strengthen the role of young people as active contributors to more peaceful and inclusive societies.

One of the main objectives of YXP is to promote education for peace by developing new tools and approaches that youth professionals can use in their work with young people. Through international cooperation, participants exchange experiences, explore different perspectives, and develop skills that can contribute to dialogue, mutual understanding, and conflict prevention.

At the same time, the project places young people at the heart of the process. Participants are encouraged to develop participatory proposals and initiatives that reflect their ideas and aspirations for a Mediterranean built on cooperation, respect, diversity, and peaceful coexistence.

By connecting young people and youth organizations across borders, YXP creates a space for learning, collaboration, and meaningful intercultural exchange while strengthening a shared vision for the future of the Mediterranean.

The project is co-funded by the European Commission and coordinated by Iniciativa Internacional Joven.

Together, we empower young people to become ambassadors of peace and build a more inclusive Mediterranean.
