The Youth for Peace in the Mediterranean Sea (YXP) training brought together youth professionals and participants committed to promoting peace, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence across the Mediterranean region.
YXP is an Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building in the Field of Youth project designed to strengthen peace education and encourage greater cooperation among young people and youth organizations across eight countries.
Through training activities, exchanges, discussions, and collaborative learning, the project aims to develop new educational tools for youth professionals that can support their work in promoting peace, inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and mutual understanding.
An important part of the initiative is also empowering young people themselves to become active contributors to peacebuilding. Participants are encouraged to develop participatory proposals and initiatives that respond to the realities of their communities and contribute to building a more peaceful and inclusive Mediterranean.
By connecting youth and youth professionals from different cultural and social backgrounds, YXP creates opportunities to exchange experiences, learn from one another, and strengthen cooperation across borders.
The project demonstrates the important role young people can play in creating societies based on dialogue, respect, solidarity, and peaceful coexistence.
Youth for Peace in the Mediterranean Sea is co-funded by the European Commission and coordinated by Iniciativa Internacional Joven.
Together, we are empowering youth to become active voices for peace and inclusion across the Mediterranean.
